As a lifelong comic book fan, it was a great honor when I was asked to contribute a weekly column to the pop culture megasite WizardUniverse.com. Since January of 2008, I have released Word on the Street nearly every week (depending on Marvel Comics's release schedule), providing recaps and insight into the monthly titles: Captain America, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, the Immortal Iron Fist, Moon Knight, and Punisher War Journal. Word on the Street is written in a distinctive in-universe voice that places the reader directly into the world of Marvel Comics and the peacekeeping task force, S.H.I.E.L.D.

In 2009, after S.H.I.E.L.D. was disbanded in the comics, I adapted a more omniscient and more humorous tone to offset the generally dire situations the characters often found themselves in. The in-universe style was an excellent experience, but readers responded to the shift in tone pretty favorably.

In addition to writing Word on the Street, I also provide my own original accompanying art, most notably the Starknet, S.H.I.E.L.D. file and SHRA card used in the characters' bios at the top of each column.

I've also had the opportunity to conduct some interviews with creators in the entertainment field. Click here to read my interview with Ayre Force writers Joseph Illidge and Adam Slutsky.
